Our Team

Choosing your lawyer is an important decision. It is essential that they have experience, knowledge and expertise to get results, as well as the personal qualities to make the lawyer-client relationship successful.

The team at Lime Lawyers draws on the experience they gained from working in a large specialised law firm and combines that with the positives of a personalised approach to focus on you, the client.

Legal Practitioner Director Peter Hall
Peter prides himself on being actively involved in his clients’ cases. His experience over the last 15 years has seen him develop a passion for working with clients. This ensures that their interests are protected and their concerns are heard so they can look forward to a positive future.
Until recently Peter was part of the management, legal and leadership teams at Trilby Misso Lawyers where he was responsible for overseeing a large, specialised team of lawyers as well as his own clients.
“I am excited at the prospect of starting my own firm and really having the time to work with my clients, understand them and their case, and make sure I leave no stone unturned.”
Having gained extensive experience over the years, he knows exactly what to do, doesn’t waste time, and understands that every case is different.
“My philosophy is that when a client comes to me they are doing so because they have been wronged. My job is to focus on safeguarding their future by tailoring a case plan for them, maintaining communication with them and assisting them to resolve their case as swiftly as is possible.”
Peter remains actively involved in the industry as a Committee member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance (Qld) as part of which he co-chairs the CTP Special Interest Group which meets regularly with the Motor Accident Insurance Commission and various other insurers.
Legal Practitioner Director Michael Broughton
Michael has had a prominent career as a specialist lawyer. Before establishing Lime Lawyers he was at Trilby Misso in roles ranging from team leader to head of department, and most recently, General Manager. Resulting from this exposure to numerous cases he has had the benefit of being involved in all aspects of them.
“I am fortunate in that over the years I have been able to develop systems for providing excellent service to clients and appreciate what works and what doesn’t. I will use this to give our clients the best of both worlds – a streamlined process for running their case combined with the essential personal touch.”
Working exclusively in the industry for over 14 years Michael has the unique advantage of identifying exactly what clients want from their lawyer and developing ‘best practice’ based on this.
“Establishing Lime Lawyers gives me the opportunity to use all of my knowledge and expertise gained from a large firm, whilst remembering that what I do is all about the client involved and the outcome they are seeking to achieve. That sometimes gets lost when you are trying to juggle too many clients, a large workload and a bottom line.”
In his career to date, Michael has been involved in several prominent cases including acting for victims of the 2000 Childers Palace Backpacker Fire and for several victims of the 2004 Bundaberg Tilt Train derailment.
Michael grew up and went to school on the Redcliffe Peninsula. He is also a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance and Queensland Law Society.
